Orthokeratology (Ortho-K)

Clear Vision While You Sleep

Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) is a safe, non-surgical, and reversible way to correct vision for both children and adults. Specially designed lenses are worn overnight to gently reshape the front surface of the eye while you sleep.

In the morning, you simply remove the lenses and enjoy clear vision throughout the day, without glasses or daytime contact lenses.

Ortho-K is commonly used to correct short-sightedness (myopia) and mild astigmatism. In children, it may also help slow myopia progression.

How Ortho-K Works

  1. Wear your Ortho-K lenses before bed

  2. Sleep as usual while the lenses work overnight

  3. Remove the lenses in the morning

  4. Enjoy clear daytime vision without glasses or contacts

The treatment is fully reversible. If lens wear stops, the eyes gradually return to their original shape.

Benefits of Orthokeratology

Freedom from Glasses and Daytime Contact Lenses

Wake up with clear vision and enjoy your daily activities without relying on glasses or soft contact lenses.

Comfortable for Dry Eyes

Because the lenses are only worn during sleep, many patients experience less daytime dryness and irritation compared with regular contact lenses.

Non-Surgical and Reversible

Ortho-K offers a temporary vision correction option without the need for laser eye surgery.

Suitable for Active Lifestyles

Ideal for sports, outdoor activities, work, and busy routines where glasses or daytime contacts may be inconvenient.

Myopia Management for Children

Research shows Ortho-K may help slow the progression of short-sightedness in children, supporting long-term eye health.

Customised Vision Correction

Ortho-K lenses are individually designed to suit your eyes and prescription requirements.
